The Reverend W.G. Gillespie, Sr. and Sister Vernell Jones Memorial Scholarship was established to the honor the dedicated, loving and giving parents of Pastor L.J. Gillespie, Sr. An Institute Revival was also established in their honor which is an annual occurrence that promoted Christian students to excel and continue their education. The scholarship is to support graduating high school seniors with funds to assist with their tuition, fees, room and board, etc.
